Walnut Family Decking
The client got in touch with EnviroBuild looking for the perfect material to create a family-friendly decking area where the kids could play and the family could relax and enjoy outdoor dining. Which could also be used used to create a bespoke planter where the family could enjoy growing food together and teach the children about sustainability and gardening.
Sustainability and durability were key for the family, making EnviroBuild’s decking—crafted from 90% recycled materials and produced using wind-powered manufacturing—the perfect match for their values.
The Problem
The family’s new build garden was plain and lacked functionality, with poor soil that made growing anything difficult. They wanted to transform the space into a functional area where they could spend time together, relax, and play.
Their goal was to create an easy-to-maintain garden with a natural feel, with raised beds, to bring the essence of nature into their everyday life. After careful consideration, they decided that a large outdoor decking area complemented by matching planters for growing food would be the perfect solution to achieve this.
The Solution
The client contacted EnviroBuild to help select the right materials for their project, as they needed something with a natural look and feel, durable, safe for children to play on, and versatile enough to create matching planters.
After discussing their needs, they agreed that Walnut Explorer composite decking was the ideal choice. Its rich, dark wood colour and enhanced wood grain brought a natural aesthetic to the garden, while its durability and non-slip properties made it perfect for an easy-to-maintain family space.
